Overview
The Whitechain testnet faucet distributes small amounts of test WBT to developers and contributors so they can pay gas while deploying and testing on the network. Test WBT has no real value and exists only on testnet (chain ID 1874). The faucet is available at faucet.testnet.whtchn.com.Before you claim
You need three things to claim test WBT:- Whitechain testnet added to your wallet. Use the chain ID 1874 and the public RPC at
rpc.testnet.whtchn.com. - A GitHub account. The faucet authenticates you with GitHub OAuth to limit abuse. One GitHub account claims for one address per drip window.
- A non-zero balance on Ethereum mainnet. Any amount qualifies. The check is a lightweight sybil filter, not a fee.
Claim test WBT
- Open faucet.testnet.whtchn.com.
- Sign in with GitHub.
- Paste your Whitechain address and complete the captcha.
- Submit.
Drip limits
| Tier | Eligibility | Drip per 24h |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | GitHub OAuth + Ethereum mainnet balance | 0.5 WBT |
Troubleshooting
I do not have a GitHub account. Create one at github.com/signup. GitHub auth is the primary sybil-resistance mechanism, there is no anonymous claim path. I have no balance on Ethereum mainnet. Any non-zero balance qualifies, so a small amount from a centralized exchange withdrawal is sufficient. You do not spend the balance, the faucet only checks that it is non-zero. The captcha keeps failing. Try a different browser, disable VPN or aggressive ad-blockers, or clear cookies for the faucet domain. The faucet uses hCaptcha or Cloudflare Turnstile depending on the deployment. I submitted but funds did not arrive. Check your address on the testnet explorer. If the claim succeeded, the tokens are already in your account. If you do not see the transaction, retry after a few minutes or reach out via the support channels listed below. I need more test WBT than the daily limit. The standard daily limit covers normal deployment and testing. For larger needs (load tests, deeper integration), reach out to the team via the support channels in Related links.Related links
